Dolly-Parton
born on January. 19 1946 on the 19th of January 1946 in Locust Ridge Tenn into a low-income family which would later include 12 children Dolly Parton learned early to get away from the challenges of life by using her expansive and vivid imagination. Before she could read and compose, she composed herself with her own songs. Her first guitar purchase came at the age of 8 and began performing on an Knoxville Tenn radio station at age 11. That same year when she began recording her debut album for Gold Band Records an independent small-scale label. Although she was in school, she had established a name for herself on the local scene. But her dream was to become more acknowledged. After graduating from high school in 1964, she swiftly made the move to Nashville. Dumb Blonde, Something Fishy and Dumb Blonde both charted on Monument Records in 1967. Porter Wagoner had been looking for a female vocalist to be a part of his syndicated show in the years prior to this. Parton began her career in 1966. She was then signed to RCA Records in 1968, and then the Grand Ole Opry was founded in the year 1969. The show ended in 1974, as her own songs like Joshua Coat of Many Colors and Jolene had begun charting their collaborative efforts. Following their break-up, Parton wrote the song I Will Always Love You for Wagoner and it reached number. Its first appearance at Number 1 was in 1974.
